My parents are in their seventies and I wanted their travel day to be an easy one, so we booked the direct transfer from Milos to Paros. Makis looked after them from the moment they stepped on board, found them shade, and kept an eye without ever hovering. Two hours of flat water later they walked off looking fresher than I did.

We went for the multi island run and the food was the thing that surprised us. Fresh plates coming out between the swim stops, properly cold wine, and a long quiet hour anchored off Despotiko where we all just floated about. Kimolos and Sifnos were beautiful too. It stopped feeling like a transfer somewhere around the second swim.

Haris took us from Paros over to Milos and you could tell straight away that he has run that stretch of water a thousand times. He read it the whole way, kept us beautifully steady, and chatted about the islands whenever we asked. It is a lovely feeling being in hands like that. We would book him again in a heartbeat.

Kimolos is only half an hour from Milos so we made a proper day of it instead. Two long anchorages off Poliegos, a swim at Sifnos and a stop at Serifos, with lunch and the bar going throughout the day.

Musique, soleil, open bar, trois arrêts baignade. On avait l'impression d'avoir notre propre pont.

I was traveling on my own and Mits made the whole thing feel completely relaxed from the moment I stepped aboard. He pointed out stretches of coastline I would never have known were there and talked me through each island as we passed it. I sat up at the front for most of the way across to Paros and loved every minute.

It is the part of the holiday we still talk about months afterwards. We stopped at Folegandros, then Sikinos, then Ios, swimming at every one of them, and Anastasia fed us beautifully the whole way east while the islands kept changing shape around us.

Two and a half hours north and we came alongside at Foinikas rather than the main town, which is a lovely quiet spot to arrive into. Niki with Makis welcomed us had it all arranged before we stepped aboard. Excellent way to travel through the Cyclades, highly recommended!

J'avais un emploi du temps serré et j'avais juste besoin que ça fonctionne, et c'est le cas. Arrivée et départ à l'heure, sans tracas, sans attente au quai. Exactement ce qu'il me fallait.
