Makis looked after them from the moment they stepped on board, found them shade, and kept an eye without ever hovering. Two hours of flat water later they walked off looking fresher than I did.

Fresh plates coming out between the swim stops, properly cold wine, and a long quiet hour anchored off Despotiko where we all just floated about. Kimolos and Sifnos were beautiful too. It stopped feeling like a transfer somewhere around the second swim.

Haris took us from Paros over to Milos and you could tell straight away that he has run that stretch of water a thousand times. He read it the whole way, kept us beautifully steady, and chatted about the islands whenever we asked. It is a lovely feeling being in hands like that. We would book him again in a heartbeat.

Kimolos is only half an hour from Milos so we made a proper day of it instead. Two long anchorages off Poliegos, a swim at Sifnos and a stop at Serifos, with lunch and the bar going throughout the day.
