About Sikinos
Sikinos keeps 253 permanent residents and sits between Ios and Folegandros in the southern Cyclades. Its ancient name was Oenoe, the island of wine, and a working winery opened above the coast in 2008. A Navy Blue Sea Transfer from Milos is the practical way in, since ferry links here run thin. The chora is really two villages, Kastro and Chorio, standing side by side along the ridge. Episkopi began as a Roman mausoleum rebuilt in the third century and became a church later.
